I am quite in love with this mobile office snapshot. It inspires me to do some work out of the house. Mid-week I’ll go to my favorite local coffee shop and do just that. They have a great chai latte there too. I’ll even take my own snapshot to share. Can’t wait!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

—Marianne Williamson

A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts. This requires not that the writer make all his sentences short, or that he avoid all detail and treat his subjects only in outline, but that every word tell.

—William Strunk, Jr.

When you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount.

I don’t even know what to write here anymore. I have twitter and facebook, and most times I don’t even know if I should write a thought to one or the other.

I think it’s time to start prioritizing. I have this blog but I didn’t intend for it to be a dead horse, or a collection of other’s thoughts and findings. It’s time to revitalize, to clean out what’s not working and refresh it with a new look.

So here’s where I am.

A minimalist tucks in her shoelaces so they are not to be seen.

A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.
